For those of you that know me, granted this might be a bold step, but with the nights drawing in and the imminent arrival of halloween I have been strangely attracted to this autumn trend in dark lipsticks and found myself embracing the rich berry hues.
I like the shift in focus from eyes to lips, paired with a nude eye and some colour through your cheeks, a dark berry lip is very contemporary.
Here I am trying out Revlon Black cherry, actually it looks very chocolatey at first but once applied you can really see those rich berry tones, applied as a stain with fingers at first gives subtle colouring for an understated daytime look but build up the colour with a brush and you soon achieve a strong full berry colour, finish off with a clear gloss for a vampish night time look.
The act itself of applying colour onto one’s lips is an endearing one and one I am really starting to enjoy.
Looks great Vicki – might have to try it myself! Loving your website – your work is beautiful.
