Bridal Hair & Makeup
I designed and executed bridal hair and makeup looks for this 1960’s inspired editorial feature The Look of Love. I worked closely with fantastic Northeast based team for Loved Up Magazine photographer Kevin Gibson and Editor Kathryn Armstrong.
For Robyn’s look I started by setting her hair in barrel rolls which were left to cool whilst I moved onto makeup. Makeup was reminiscent of late 1950’s to early 1960’s with a sweeping slightly elongated eyeliner in black. Soft natural eyelashes were applied to the top lash line outer corners for a defined shape. Blush was a girlish pink and lips were neutral with a little balm applied. Hair was then teased and swept into a modest bouffant, perfect for accommodating those huge veils. The whole look was set against the quirky surroundings of Crab Manor in Thirsk, North Yorkshire.
