Summer Wedding

Wedding flowers

This beautiful summer wedding took place early in July on one of the warmest and most glorious days of the year!

The bride opted for classic whites, creams and greens that included heady scents of mixed Roses, Freesia, Stock and textured Trachelium.

For the reception, flowers were gathered together into pickle jars and grouped into informal table arrangements.  A formal fresh flower display constructed using oasis was placed on the registrars table and doubled as a top table arrangement at the reception later. The brides bouquet combined scented blooms simply hand tied and bound with satin. Bridesmaids corsages were worn on the wrist in a mix of scented Freesia and Roses and constructed with a traditional wiring technique and fastened onto a pearl bracelet. Mother of the Bride and Mother of the groom chose corsages with magnetic fastenings to wear either on the lapel of their outfit or to adorn a clutch bag. Groomsmen wore a classic scented Rose buttonhole with Ivy detail secured with a pearl pin.

The pictures show some of the preparation and construction methods used to create the designs. One of the most memorable things about working on this wedding for me was the mix of scented summer blooms.
